The Maven is encountered by witnessing boss kills in maps. After she witnesses enough bosses, she invites you to The Maven's Crucible for a multi-boss fight, then eventually to her own arena for the pinnacle encounter.
What are The Maven's main mechanics?
The Maven uses memory games (repeating patterns of platforms), Cascade of Pain (large area attacks), and summons previously witnessed bosses during the fight. The memory game phase is unique — failing it deals massive damage.
